Qatar Olympic Committee President Crowns Winners of T100 Triathlon World Championship

His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, crowned the winners of the T100 Triathlon World Championship in Doha, where New Zealand’s Hayden Wilde claimed the men’s title and Britain’s Kate Waugh secured the women’s crown.

During the visit, His Excellency met with Eng. Abdulaziz Saud Al Tamimi, President of the Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation, Mr. Abdullah Shaheen Al Kaabi, Secretary-General of the Federation, and board members Ms. Fatima Al Ghanem and Mr. Ahmed Al Binali. He also met with promising Qatari triathletes from the national team, praising their performances, ambitions, and future potential.

The medal ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism; Mr. Antonio Arimany, President of World Triathlon; and His Excellency Eng: Yasser bin Abdullah Al Jamal, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The ceremony marked the conclusion of an exceptional edition of the championship that further reinforced Qatar’s status as a global capital of sport.
