Qatar Instructor Training Course concluded by The International Triathlon Union (ITU)
The International Triathlon Union (ITU) Qatar Instructor Training Course concluded on Sunday in Doha, under the supervision of the Scottish Norman Brook and the Greek Thanos Nikopoulos (ITU Operations Director). The technical secretary of the Qatari Federation, Firas Al-Hamoud, coordinated the course and was one of the invitees to participate in it.
The course aimed to prepare instructors accredited by the International Triathlon Union to provide training courses for coaches and referees at various levels.
The course lasted for three days, from November 22 to 24, 2024, with the participation of 13 instructors who were invited with the approval of the International Triathlon Union from seven Asian countries: Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, China, South Korea, and Jordan. This is the first time a course of this kind has been held in the region.
On the other hand, the Qatar Triathlon and Cycling Federation concludes this year’s development agenda with the participation of coaches Rashid Al Sulaiti and Mohammed Namsi in the Coaches’ Preparation Course (Level One), which will be held in Fujairah, UAE, from December 9 to 13, 2024. It is worth noting that the Qatar Federation includes a group of coaches accredited by the International Federation at Level One and Level Two.
